Ragility Inc. Privacy Policy
Ragility Inc. (the "Company") is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users. Our Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Site" refers to the Company's website, which can be accessed at adil.legal. "Service" refers to the Company's services accessed via the Site, in which users can upload case files and documents, chat with an AI assistant about their case, run document analyses, optical character recognition (OCR), and translation, and search their case files and a legal corpus made available through the Service. The terms "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Company. "You" refers to you, as a user of our Site or our Service.
By accessing our Site or our Service, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (found here: /legal/terms), and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. When you create an account, we record your acceptance of the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy, including the version of each document you accepted, the time of your acceptance, and the IP address from which you accepted.
I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect "Non-Personal Information" and "Personal Information." Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymized and aggregated usage data. Personal Information includes information that can be used to identify you, such as your name, email address, password (which we store only in hashed form, never as plain text), optional company and position, and IP address, which you submit to us through the registration process at the Site or which is recorded when you take certain actions on the Service.
1. Information Collected via Technology
We use cookies, or small text files stored by your browser, solely to authenticate you and keep you signed in to your account. These are session cookies set by our authentication system; they are not used for advertising or for tracking you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not work with third-party advertising networks, and we do not sell your Personal Information.
We record your IP address when you accept our Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy at signup, and alongside consequential account and document actions that are recorded in our audit trail (see Section V).
2. Information You Provide Us by Registering for an Account
To become a subscriber to the Service you will need to create a personal account. You can create an account by registering with the Service, entering your name and email address, and creating a password; you may also optionally provide your company and position. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account instead. By registering, you are authorizing us to collect, store and use your name, email address, and the other information described above in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We store your password only as a cryptographic hash; we do not store your plain-text password.
3. User Content
"User Content" means the case files and documents you upload to the Service, your chat messages, and any notes or annotations you create in the Service. User Content may itself contain personal information about your clients or other third parties. You, or the law firm you represent, are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload User Content to the Service. We process User Content only to provide the Service to you, as described in this Privacy Policy.
4. Payment Information
Payments for the Service are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your payment card details are provided directly to Stripe, and we do not store your card numbers. We keep records of your subscription status and your usage and billing history.
5. Children's Privacy
The Service requires users to be at least 18 years old, and the Site and the Service are not directed to anyone under the age of 18. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Site does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13, or allow anyone under the age of 13 to sign up for the Service. In the event that we learn that we have gathered personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at [email protected].
II. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION
Personal Information
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. We do share Personal Information and User Content with service providers who are performing services for the Company, as described in Section III below. Those service providers use your information only at our direction, only as needed to perform their function, and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
In general, the Personal Information you provide to us is used to operate the Service and to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to authenticate your account, provide and secure the Service, respond to your questions, provide technical support, and administer billing.
We may share Personal Information with outside parties if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to meet any applicable legal process or enforceable governmental request; to enforce our applicable Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations; to address fraud, security or technical concerns; or to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public as required or permitted by law.
User Content
We process User Content only to provide the Service: to store your case files, to run the document analyses, OCR, translation, chat, and search features you request, and to display your content back to you and other authorized members of your case. We do not use your User Content for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models (see Section IV).
Non-Personal Information
In general, we use Non-Personal Information to help us improve the Service and customize the user experience. We also aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns on the Site. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners and other third parties at our discretion.
Business Transfers
In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. If our information practices change at any time in the future, we will post the policy changes to the Site so that you may opt out of the new information practices. We suggest that you check the Site periodically if you are concerned about how your information is used.
III. SERVICE PROVIDERS
We use a small number of service providers (subprocessors) to operate the Service. These providers may process your Personal Information or User Content on our behalf, only as needed to perform the function described below:
- Anthropic (AI model processing): processes case content when you use the AI features of the Service.
- E2B (isolated compute): provides the isolated, sandboxed computing environments in which AI jobs run.
- Cloudflare (file storage): stores your uploaded files and documents in object storage.
- Railway (application and database hosting): hosts the Service's web application and our Postgres database in a United States region.
- Stripe (payments): processes subscription payments.
- Google (optional sign-in): provides authentication if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
IV. AI PROCESSING OF YOUR CONTENT
The Service uses artificial intelligence models to analyze, summarize, translate, and answer questions about your User Content. When you use these features, the relevant case content is processed by AI models through the service providers listed in Section III, and that processing runs in isolated, per-job sandboxed environments as described in Section V. We do not use your content to train AI models.
V. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION
We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access. Your information is encrypted in transit. AI processing runs in isolated, per-job sandboxes with default-deny network egress, and the storage credentials used by those jobs are scoped to your individual case. Tenant access controls are enforced on every case route, so only authorized members of a case can access its content, and an append-only audit trail records consequential account and document actions. Your account is protected by your account password, which we store only in hashed form, and we urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe by not disclosing your password and by logging out of your account after each use. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. By using our Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.
VI. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
We retain your account information and case data for as long as your account is active. Upon a verified deletion request, we delete your account data and case files from our databases and file storage, retaining only anonymized usage and financial records needed for bookkeeping, together with the audit trail. Expired sessions and short-lived job tokens are purged automatically on a rolling basis, and records of completed background jobs are purged after approximately 30 days. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us at [email protected].
VII. DATA LOCATION
Your information is stored and processed primarily in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand and agree that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States.
VIII. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of the Personal Information we hold about you at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what Personal Information we collect about you, the right to request that we correct or delete it, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights. The categories of personal information we collect are: identifiers (such as your name, email address, and IP address); account credentials (your password, stored only in hashed form); professional information (your optional company and position); commercial information (subscription status and usage and billing records); internet activity information (authentication session data); and the User Content you choose to upload. We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
Users in the EEA and the United Kingdom. If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your account information as a data controller, on the legal bases of performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service. For case content uploaded by you or your law firm, the Company acts as a data processor and processes that content only to provide the Service. You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability by contacting us at [email protected].
IX. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
We do not currently send promotional communications. If we send promotional communications in the future, you will have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes: you can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional email, or by contacting us at [email protected]. Please note that notwithstanding any promotional preferences you indicate, we may continue to send you administrative emails including, for example, notices about your account, billing, and security, and periodic updates to our Privacy Policy.
X. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
As part of the Service, we may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Site and the Service. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third party website accessed by selecting a link on our Site or via our Service. To the extent that you access or use the Service through or on another website or application, then the privacy policy of that other website or application will apply to your access or use of that site or application. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of other websites before proceeding to use them.
XI. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
The Company reserves the right to change this policy and our Terms of Use at any time. We will notify you of significant changes to our Privacy Policy by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on our site. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check the Site and this privacy page for updates.
